We Live

We Live

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

We live in a land where consequences for your actions
Is "persecution",
Telling the truth is
"Accusation",
And who you are is
"Speculation" from people who merely read what you write.

We live in a land where "love" is infatuation,
Where a woman's "not" pregnant at conception
Despite its definition,
Where saying sorry is meaningless defiant
"Reparation".

We live in a land where if something's not perfect,
It results in abolition,
Where big boobs, a big butt, and a tiny waist
Is viewed as "perfection",
And where caring about somebody's heart
Is nothing but a preconceived notion.

We live in a land where the world wide web
Is a huge, ugly, steel door for pornographic imaginations,
Where "love" is only a quick and fleeting sensation,
And where relationships have no healthy expectations.

We live in a land where we don't even follow our own constitution,
Where our freedom of speech is conditioned,
Especially if you're a Christian.

We live in a land where the church has become the epitome
Of selfish devotion,
Where helping the needy has really become "stagnation",
And where the church doesn't even know the meaning of Jesus's resurrection.

We live in a land where very few things see consummation,
Where there's few that actually know the meaning of consecration,
And where so many people quit this walk
Because of condemnation.

We live in a land where condemnation is confused with conviction,
Where we don't have to work out our salvation,
And where people don't have the encouragement to change
Because of excommunication.

We live in a land where -
Well you get the point.
What is the point of this life..
That we live if not for a greater purpose..
To rise above the status quo..
And put a stop to this.
What is the point if not to reject what we've learned
And accept more of what our Creator knows?
His promise.

The People Pleaser Reader

Have you ever went out and fed the homeless and had someone tell you that you're focusing on works to be saved? Have you ever preached about grace and had someone tell you that you're using it as an excuse? Have you ever preached against sin and had someone call you legalistic? Have you ever preached about God's will and had someone say you believe in the law of attraction? Have you ever preached about reaping what you sow and had someone say you're this or that because it's karma? Have you ever preached about humility and had someone say you're prideful because you're preaching about humility? Have you ever preached the law of righteousness and had someone tell you it's not love? Have you ever felt confident and had someone call you conceited only to make you go back to feeling insecure? Have you ever preached about purity and had someone tell you that because of your past you can't? Have you ever used wisdom and had someone demand that you can trust them? Have you ever tried to reconcile God's way only to have someone reject you? Have you ever told the truth to a friend only to have them say you're judgmental?

Have you ever? I know I have many times. First off, I want to encourage you to examine your motives. 2 Corinthians 11:28 - "Examine your motives, test your heart, come to this meal in holy awe."  Please take into account that what people say might be true and that we're all going to be put to the test. From experience of impure motives I had to take a look at my actions before I could see others reactions in the right light. Proverbs 16:2 - "All a person's ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the LORD." Secondly, if you put your words to the test of God's and find that you're in right-standing with Him then please don't let people's misinterpretations and assumptions discourage you from your walk. So many times I've let people steal my peace just because I let in what they were pushing on me. No. More. 1 Corinthians 2:11 - "No one can know a person's thoughts except that person's own spirit, and no one can know God's thoughts except God's own spirit." If we are all doing what we're supposed to be doing by testing our hearts and testing spirits then our lives are pleasing to God.

Life gets dangerous when we take our eyes off of Jesus. Many words, lies, assumptions, and hurts come our way and if we aren't living in the Spirit then those spirits can severely damage us. If we aren't living in the Spirit we are living in the flesh and if we're living in the flesh, we're focused on flesh. I used to let other people's words and actions affect me tremendously. I began to look at those people for my identity, my approval, and my affirmation. Believe me when I say that I'm still not perfect when it comes to that now, but I think we all do that at times and it hurts us even more so when those people were once close. We then start to live to try to please them, but we can't take things personally because people hurt us purposefully. When we accept what they say we reject what God's Word says about us. (Click Link For MoreEphesians 6:12 - "For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness of the unseen world." When we focus what's really at stake in the Spirit we see it for what it is - Satan using people to work against us. We start to see that their spirit is not in line with the Spirit. Luke 6:45 says, "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart, for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." After first examining ourselves we are able to execute righteous judgments about spirits when we test them. When we focus on Jesus we're able to see who we really are. We become a God pleaser like we should be because let's just be real; nobody has the time or the energy to please everybody! So honey, do yourself a favor and live to please your Father.

Dancing With Demons

Dancing With Demons

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

At the club dancin with demons.
Would you be dancin with yo booty up on Jesus?
It's a vivid image.
I know.
It should be makin you cringe.
I know.

You were made for beauty.
Instead you're quenching the thirsty -
Twerking -
It's one of the worst.
Shakin yo booty ain't gonna to get yo booty into heaven,
Inert.

Why you flirtin
With the enemy?
He's a coy little smile watchin,
Sayin cheese.
Well girl, do it like sweet brown and run fo yo life.
There's a fire and you ain't just gonna be burning for the night.

We all fighting in the world for purity.
And you ain't be fightin' right if you're of the world promoting promiscuity.
I can guaran-tee one of you is offended with me.
But I'd rather be real than pretend -
Ya know what I mean?
Honey - You know I'm all for originality.
But you're still - initiating
Every stimulus - you're intimating subliminally
Just happens to be the same
Call-me-lame.

It ain't sexy.
Talkin' Jamie Fox ya-boy
You think you fox-y
Talkin about shawtys disrespectfully.
There blamin it on the alcohol
Well I'm here with real cannonballs
Knockin down your walls-call it
Truth.

Whatchoo talkin 'bout?
Willis thinkin you the illest
But your girl here keepin it the trillest.
You blamin it on the alcohol when you're the one puttin it in yo mouth.
The truth came in and the truth came out.
Jason Deru- Who?
I'll tell you what you do.
Look to the one and only Author of truth.
Now ya can't blame me for staying silent
Cuz I'm spreadin the truth kinda like a virus.

The Dangers of Dabbling With Demons

So for a while I have been contemplating about whether or not I should post what I am about to post because I knew I was going to get a lot of backfire and accusations in return for it as well as people telling me I haven't forgiven and so on and so forth, but after spending some time with my sweet Savior I feel led to move past what people think. HE has something to say through all of this, and I would have to say that the thing I struggled with most was lust. As most of my consistent readers know I was introduced to masturbation at nine years old. It became an addiction that if I didn't partake in it, then I wouldn't be able to go to sleep until maybe about 2 and sometimes 3 in the morning. I experienced the Holy Spirit for the first time in 2010. It became all too real for me for the first time in my life. It wasn't my parents' faith, it wasn't my friends' faith; it was my faith. It was personal now, me and Jesus.
I was FREE from an addiction I had for ten years just like that. You see it's still something I struggle with at times though the power of prayer, the power of COMMUNICATING with the Son of God makes it easy to say no to. I fell several times since then particularly one relationship a year ago that I went into. I was free from this addiction for months when I woke up masturbating one night. I felt absolutely, utterly DISGUSTED. I look back at it with a new perspective on spiritual warfare and now I see that it was a demonic spirit that I had let into my life through this relationship. If that wasn't a good enough example for you later in that relationship I opened the door to Satan through sin which is the abode of demonic activity. (I'm SO glad I am free from these spirits now! :-))
You see sex is more than just a physical exchange. It is a spiritual exchange. Mark 10:8 - "...and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh." What fellowship does the dark have with the light!? NONE. It is easier for someone to pull you down than it is for you to pull them up especially when lust is involved. In God's Word adultery is spoken about A LOT. I believe it is Satan's main choice of weapon especially in this day and age. Like I said when you sleep with somebody it is a spiritual exchange. Whatever they are dealing with in the spiritual realm you will start to experience and yes, sleeping with demons is possible. (Genesis 6) Towards the end of that relationship I started dealing with spirits that I had never dealt with before. Right now I am trying to be wise about the depth of what I share about this so I pray that from what I am sharing you all will see the importance of this warning.
The Dangers of Dabbling With Demons and Sitting With Satan:
    1. Death. (We know the wages of sin is death. When you dabble with demons you will have more close calls to it as you have stepped out from under the hand of God's protection for your own desires. I experienced many close calls when I was sitting in this kind of sin of disobedience by not running from it where death tried to grab me. Of course God has more power than Satan and demons combined could ever have. Satan is not God's equal. Every knee WILL bow and every tongue WILL confess HE is Lord.)
    2. Feelings of being stuck. (The reality is you are stuck if you're trying to get out from under this influence in your own strength. Cry out to God and ask Him for help. Ask earnestly!)
    3. Things that don't make sense. (I had an incidence where I was sitting in my car on the way home at a stoplight playing my Jesus music one day and the lady who was next to me at the stoplight rolled down her window and started screaming at me pounding the side of her SUV. I also had an experience when I was in jail because of this relationship where two girls who I also sensed demons in were making fun of this man next to me having a seizure and then they stopped and looked at me and started whispering. It was one of those things where you could just sense it. My Bible had disappeared a couple months into that relationship. I looked for it all over. After I ended that relationship I found my Bible right in one of the places I had looked.)
    4. Change of behavior. (When you are living in the will of God your fruits will match up, but when you step out of it your fruit becomes rotten. I became someone who wasn't the person I had been before when I was living in the presence of Jesus.)
    5. Division. (God recently had restored the relationship I had with my family back then and when this spirit was let in it sowed seeds of division and we started to divide and collapse. Satan is the head over dividing and conquering.)
    6. Deceit. (Things won't line up constantly. Keep in mind that I say constantly.)
    7. Disconnecting grace and the law of righteousness. (I heard many times, "God's grace is sufficient"  being abused and used as a means to manipulate and keep me stuck in the sin I was partaking in. I was called religious for wanting to live righteous. Do not let anybody tell you that...ever. Walking with Jesus is walking in righteousness.)
Above all be on watch. STAY PRAYED UP. Demons are REAL. Ask God for discernment. Hide your heart in His Word so that you may be able to do so. TEST THE SPIRITS. Always, always take God's Word over man's. Please. This is so very, very important and vital to the body of Christ. If you need any clarification or you have any questions or comments please leave them below or e-mail me at: confessionsofachurchkid@gmail.com
I would love to talk to you and pray for you.

Help The Harvest

When a plant sits in the sun a long time and isn't being watered enough it dies. I remember back in elementary school when I chose to do an experiment involving plants for my science project. I had to switch to doing something else because my plant still hadn't grown when it was less than a week before the project was due. I knew I had to expose it to sun and provide it with water but I just kind of, sort of forgot. How many of you just kind of, sort of forget to encourage your friends, children, employees, and maybe even your spouses?

Well if you can't encourage someone when they do right then who says you have the right to discourage someone when they make a mistake? When we're always telling people what to do it comes off 100% of the time as nagging. Let's be real for a second. The majority of the time many people mistake telling the truth as being bold when in all actuality it's not going to do a thing (See "Judge and Judge Not" for more). Yes, we should tell others the truth and let God talk to the person if it offends them, but think about yourself for a moment.

Who's really telling the truth in love? Who's really helping the person by telling them what to do without telling them how? It is by the GRACE of God that we have been saved (Ephesians 2:8) and it is by the Holy Spirit doing His work in us (1 Peter 1:2) that we may be obedient. So telling someone to do this and that is ineffective without a humble, gentle, loving explanation of this.

Without the focus being on God's grace we're focusing on OUR work and when we focus on our work we're the ones who get the glory when we do "good" or when we "fulfill our call". We know that NO ONE should get the glory except Jesus Christ. Without Him we could try our hardest to do what is right but we would still be bound by the law. So build each other UP in your faith. Encourage others in doing what is lovely and pleasing in the sight of the LORD. Love on them! Most importantly encourage yourself to do the same in doing what's right by being the example, love yourself so that you may show others how.

*Challenge yourself* - Go out of your way to build someone up who looks downcast whether you know them or not whether it's buying them coffee or giving them a compliment that shows the love of Christ. #LoveLikeChrist

Hebrews 3:13 - "But exhort one another every day, as long as you call it today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness."

Ephesians 2:8 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."

1 Peter 1:2 - "...who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance."

Judge or Judge Not? That is The Question

This is how stupid we look when we judge somebody. This is how hateful we are when we call that stripper a slut because nobody taught her she was worth more than that. This is how stupid we look when we call the homeless man a lowlife when in reality he has a home in heaven and has more faith than you. This is how stupid we look when we call that girl overly emotional yet she's being beaten at home. This is how we look when we judge others in any way, shape, or form. You don't know where they've been, what they've endured, what God could be doing in them, and where God could be bringing them. Put your finger down and if you point it again the only direction you have the right to point it in is straight into the mirror.

Matthew 7:1-6: "Do not say what is wrong in other people's lives. Then other people will not say what is wrong in your life. You will be guilty of the same things you find in others. When you say what is wrong in others, your words will be used to say what is wrong with you. Why do you look at the small piece of wood in your brother's eye, and do not see the big piece of wood in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take that small piece of wood out of your eye,' when there is a big piece of wood in your own eye? You who pretend to be someone you are not, first take the big piece of wood out of your own eye. Then you can see better to take the small piece of wood out of your brother's eye.

Do not give that which belongs to God to dogs. Do not throw your pearls in front of pigs. They will break them under their feet. Then they will turn and tear you to pieces."

Now let's talk about the GOOD kind of judging. Yes, I did say good. Here's a posing question: why spend your life, time, energy, or anything else you have to offer on someone who doesn't appreciate what you can bring to the table? For example, this teaching is something I'm sharing with you. But why would I if you're going to take it and find a way to stomp all over me, what I say, or even twist it? Yes, God teaches us to give. He teaches us to believe the best in people. He teaches us to give with the right heart. AND God also teaches us wisdom. So here are some more questions for you to answer: have you ever spent time with someone where the both of you were being lifted up? Have you ever given someone something, and then they ended up doing something amazing with it that you wouldn't have done? Have you ever given someone godly advice, and then they put it into practice and later became a man or woman full of wisdom? OR perhaps once you've spent time looking at a "leader's", ex's, or a gossiper's Facebook or Twitter page. Perhaps once you've spent time hanging out with somebody who dragged you down. Maybe you gave somebody something and they were ungrateful. Or maybe you gave someone advice and then they started talking about you because they didn't like what you said, or even the fact that they were being confronted in the first place. Or maybe they started twisting the Bible or taking a Bible verse out of context to fit it to what THEY wanted it to say. Guys, your time is precious. Your gifts are treasures. Let's choose to be wise and let the Lord lead us to who He says to give to in those moments. Remember, God rested on the seventh day after creating the very universe you live in so don't burn yourself out and especially don't burn yourself out on people who frankly don't care about you. Judge wisely and with compassion. This will keep us walking in humility and it will also keep reminding us WHO really gets the glory.

Calm The Wave

Calm The Wave

By: Elaina Grace Morgan
For I am convinced
God restores..
Relationships.
I've seen it with my very eyes.
When it seemed hopeless my life was filled with..
A lot of why's.
We ain't blameless.
Yet we point fingers to make us..
Famous.
We say everybody is doing this and that.
I do this too as a matter of fact.
Well boy,
It's wack.
Pointing out the specks..
Defects..
In other's eyes
While we have a plank in ours..
No lie.
Our grace isn't like the ocean.
It's dry.
Take the time..
To better yourself.
Take the Word of God off your dusty shelf.
Spit the Spirit.
Spit and make mud.
Study that scripture.
Study..
Abroad.
God ain't limited.
Anyone's..
Selected.
Love's represented.
He directed..
To forgive others 'cause He forgave..
You.
Calm that wave 'cause He never doubted..
You.
