Core Beliefs

These are my beliefs based on what the Word of God says, not on my own opinion. No man (or woman) should add to His Word or take away from it. We must adapt ourselves to the Word of God and not adapt His Word to our own selfish agendas (Proverbs 30:6, Revelation 22:18, Deuteronomy 12:32). I will gladly receive biblical based correction if any of these look shady and I will love for you to be open with me in doing just that.

• There is one God, Creator of the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1, John 1:1)
• God sent His only son, Jesus, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16, 1 Peter 3:18-22, Romans 5:8)
• Jesus is the son of God and son of man. (Luke 1:35, Matthew 20:28, John 3:13, 1 John 5:20, Philippians 2:5-8, 1 Timothy 2:5, Colossians 1:13-29)
• Jesus died on the cross for our sins and the atonement was completed there. He then rose from the grave in three days. (1 John 2:2, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 Peter 3:18, Colossians 1:20, Colossians 2:14)
• The Trinity: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. (Mark 28:19, John 10:30, 1 Corinthians 8:6, 2 Corinthians 3:17, John 10:30-36, John 14:26, Hebrews 1:8, Luke 1:35..)
• Being born again. (Romans 10:9-10, John 3:1-8,1 Peter 1:23, Romans 6:6, John 1:12, Romans 12:1-2)
• By grace you have been saved through faith, not works. However, live by the law of righteousness and the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 2:5-6,8-9, Galatians 2:21, Galatians 3, Romans 9:30, Romans 10:4, Romans 11:6, Philippians 3:9, James 2:24)
• Faith without works, is dead. (James 2:14-26)
• Heaven and hell. (Romans 2:6-8, Revelation 21:8, Revelation 21:1-27, Hebrews 9:27, Matthew 25:41, Revelation 20:10,14, Romans 6:23, Matthew 25:46)
• Obedience. (John 3:36)
• Righteousness. (James 4:1-17, Romans 13:4, 2 Timothy 3:16, Matthew 7:17, 1 Corinthians 6:9)
• Baptism. (Matthew 3:13-17, Luke 3:21-22, John 1:29-33, Mark 1:4-5, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-6, 1 Peter 3:21, Galatians 3:27)
• Tongues and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12, Acts 2:4,6, Acts 19:6, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 1 Corinthians 14, Mark 16:15-18, Romans 8:26)
