His discipline is more severe than the rod.

But continuing in your sin is gonna tear you apart.
Repent

But if you keep on seducin'
You'll keep on producin'
Rotten fruit.
Shoot.
Send you further than Beirut.
Truth.
Turn from your trash.
'Cause the day you die your idols ain't gonna last.
Fact.
Your life is screamin' Gucci, Louis, Fendi, Prada..
Whateva.
But your mouth is singin' I got nada.
And then what your speakin' is the truth,
But your life ain't livin' proof.
You know Satan's plan is to deceive ya and lead ya to the gates of hell.
So watch out for these hypocrites for real..

Absolutely love this. Also, have to ask – what do you think about Christians that wear all those extremely pricy clothes, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, etc. handbags? I know I was into all the “labels” and always had to wear expensive handbag, but I think recently as I am drawing closer to God, He is showing me that spending all the money on expensive clothes or handbags is not the way to go, and nobody needs five different handbags or watches or bracelets, even I think God is showing me I shouldn’t be spending the money I do on nail polishes and such. Because God said to be different from the world and not to love what the world loves, if every girl is so obsessed with materialistic things then if I as a Christian am acting the same way, what makes me different? I think God recently has been revealing so many things to me, but still I want to hear and see your opinion, because I am still a new Christian and still a baby in Christ and have a long way to go, before I am on your level. Hope you will answer, and I am so tempted with joining twitter world just so I can follow you :).
ReplyDeleteHey girl! In my opinion I think there's a balance to it all and it's also based on personal conviction. I know I don't feel comfortable buying expensive things all the time when there are other people out there who are less fortunate and don't even have money for food. Another reason why it could be wrong is if our indentity is not founded upon the clothes we where or anything that we have. It is founded upon Christ alone. Also we know the things of this world will pass away, but we know the trasures we store up in heaven will always remain. You are right on with we should be separated from the world and if God has placed that on your heart then listening is exactly what He wants you to do. I'm so proud of you that you are! Christianity is never about levels either dear. :-) It's about focusing on growing in the areas of your life in what God is putting on your heart to grow in and never comparing ourselves with others thinking they are a "better" Christian than us. Everyone makes mistakes. It's if you're doing all you can to change to become more like Christ, not to change just to be "good." I would love to have you on Twitter if you join!
