Throwback

Throwback

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

#Throwback to a time when
Wrinkles and lines belonged in your clothes
And when the only thing that you would have blown..is your nose..and dandelions,
When starting over meant beginning with...A-B-C...
When watch out for that weed meant it was in the middle of grass,
Not something that you'd see in your boyfriend's hands,
 Pressuring you...
When recess meant you got to go and play your little heart away,
Not when it meant a period of time when activity in a court of law...
Stops.
Slow down.
There once was a time when we wished to be older,
But now that the world spun...
And it's gotten colder
Do we wish that we could have taken a nap on mother's shoulders...
Instead we take the world upon our own shoulders...
And this is why our Heavenly Father...
Tells us to receive the kingdom of God like a little child
Full of life discovering new wonders,
 Innocent, and pure.

The Idolatry Of Ignorance

God is a God of order. (1 Corinthians 14:33 - "For God is not a God of disorder but of peace..") Therefore, He is also a God of logic. How many of us can say we have a logical rebuttal for the questions we face everyday? I can confidently tell you this from experience; I have found that when my reply is logical I stay at peace. I have found that when I don't know the answer that humility is better than ignorant malarkey. Taking a moment to search out the answer thoroughly is better than assuming and speaking figuratively. So how many of you can say you have studied God's Word? I know I can and I don't say that in a manner of pride and you know why? Because no matter how much you have studied God's Word in your lifetime there will always be more to learn from Him, and often those things will be from the same things you have studied previously.

I wonder if you're one of the few who do because I am baffled at people's lack of response to this one question that I see many Christians often receive, including me: "If God was a loving God then why does He send people to hell?" I want to clarify the answers for those who would appreciate a better understanding of this by posing some questions myself. Why would a loving God force you to go to heaven when you have chosen the opposite (the one true living God, not falsified images posing as God or idols that take on the form of television, music, books, friends, family, your boyfriend or girlfriend, husband or wife, your phone, work, food, bacon, etc.)? We all are on this earth right now either learning hell's language or heaven's and whatever language we choose to learn and to live will take us to its destination by the path we individually have chosen to walk on. So would God be a God of love if He forced us on that path of faith when we didn't want to be? Simply put, you choose it and you choose the consequence of it. This isn't just for the unbelievers. It's for the believers alike. I am not exempt from this because I often find me writing to myself in my blog posts. Thanks to God, I am no stranger to the things I need to work on.

Are we truly on the path of faith or are we cruising the freeway doing what we want whenever we want? Can an active follower of Jesus hold anything higher than the Name above all names? No. What we believe is not what we say; it's what we do and what we do and what we live out is a reflection of our thoughts. Whatever consumes most of our time, whatever we think and dream most about is an idol. So I want to encourage you all today to take captive your thoughts for they exceedingly are the root of what's lost. Hide His Word in your heart because everything you do flows from it, everything you think flows from it, and know that you can win by focusing upon the cross. I know some of you may be struggling with unforgiveness, lust, insecurity, fear, self-hatred, hate, bitterness, you name it; we've all been there. Also, we can all overcome by the blood of the Lamb. I encourage you to declare your freedom today by taking captive your thoughts. Use the authority God has given you as a child of the Most High by not letting the devil have control over you anymore and meditate this week on these verses: 2 Corinthians 10:5 - "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ," and Philippians 4:8 - "Finally brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things." It's going to take training your thoughts, but I promise you that in the end it is so very worth it.

There's A Price To Pay

There's A Price To Pay

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

We all do what we've got to do to survive.
Truthfully it doesn't matter if we live or if we die..
Because if we don't die today
We might die tomorrow
And if we don't pray..
Then a bullet could be the price of our persona..

Or selling bad weed
At least it would be in the streets
While the price of a broke father of five is his worrying and anxiety
Being the possibility..
Of an OD.

While the price of an actress not getting naked in front of
And off of the screen..
Is that all of her bank accounts..freeze.
Well I'm here today to tell you that the wages you make
Can never pay the price of sin.

Murderers, drug dealers, meth addicts
Jesus paid the price for all them.
The jealous, the impatient,
The zealous that don't match the heart of heaven
The haters, the players, the racists..
The complacent He died for all of them.

But the consequences for our sin
Will never add up to what He did.
And if He shed His blood and
Popped veins
So that we would be allowed to remain in the
Very things that caused Him pain
Then wouldn't you say...His death was all in vain?

The Dangers of Dabbling With Demons

So for a while I have been contemplating about whether or not I should post what I am about to post because I knew I was going to get a lot of backfire and accusations in return for it as well as people telling me I haven't forgiven and so on and so forth, but after spending some time with my sweet Savior I feel led to move past what people think. HE has something to say through all of this, and I would have to say that the thing I struggled with most was lust. As most of my consistent readers know I was introduced to masturbation at nine years old. It became an addiction that if I didn't partake in it, then I wouldn't be able to go to sleep until maybe about 2 and sometimes 3 in the morning. I experienced the Holy Spirit for the first time in 2010. It became all too real for me for the first time in my life. It wasn't my parents' faith, it wasn't my friends' faith; it was my faith. It was personal now, me and Jesus.
I was FREE from an addiction I had for ten years just like that. You see it's still something I struggle with at times though the power of prayer, the power of COMMUNICATING with the Son of God makes it easy to say no to. I fell several times since then particularly one relationship a year ago that I went into. I was free from this addiction for months when I woke up masturbating one night. I felt absolutely, utterly DISGUSTED. I look back at it with a new perspective on spiritual warfare and now I see that it was a demonic spirit that I had let into my life through this relationship. If that wasn't a good enough example for you later in that relationship I opened the door to Satan through sin which is the abode of demonic activity. (I'm SO glad I am free from these spirits now! :-))
You see sex is more than just a physical exchange. It is a spiritual exchange. Mark 10:8 - "...and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh." What fellowship does the dark have with the light!? NONE. It is easier for someone to pull you down than it is for you to pull them up especially when lust is involved. In God's Word adultery is spoken about A LOT. I believe it is Satan's main choice of weapon especially in this day and age. Like I said when you sleep with somebody it is a spiritual exchange. Whatever they are dealing with in the spiritual realm you will start to experience and yes, sleeping with demons is possible. (Genesis 6) Towards the end of that relationship I started dealing with spirits that I had never dealt with before. Right now I am trying to be wise about the depth of what I share about this so I pray that from what I am sharing you all will see the importance of this warning.
The Dangers of Dabbling With Demons and Sitting With Satan:
    1. Death. (We know the wages of sin is death. When you dabble with demons you will have more close calls to it as you have stepped out from under the hand of God's protection for your own desires. I experienced many close calls when I was sitting in this kind of sin of disobedience by not running from it where death tried to grab me. Of course God has more power than Satan and demons combined could ever have. Satan is not God's equal. Every knee WILL bow and every tongue WILL confess HE is Lord.)
    2. Feelings of being stuck. (The reality is you are stuck if you're trying to get out from under this influence in your own strength. Cry out to God and ask Him for help. Ask earnestly!)
    3. Things that don't make sense. (I had an incidence where I was sitting in my car on the way home at a stoplight playing my Jesus music one day and the lady who was next to me at the stoplight rolled down her window and started screaming at me pounding the side of her SUV. I also had an experience when I was in jail because of this relationship where two girls who I also sensed demons in were making fun of this man next to me having a seizure and then they stopped and looked at me and started whispering. It was one of those things where you could just sense it. My Bible had disappeared a couple months into that relationship. I looked for it all over. After I ended that relationship I found my Bible right in one of the places I had looked.)
    4. Change of behavior. (When you are living in the will of God your fruits will match up, but when you step out of it your fruit becomes rotten. I became someone who wasn't the person I had been before when I was living in the presence of Jesus.)
    5. Division. (God recently had restored the relationship I had with my family back then and when this spirit was let in it sowed seeds of division and we started to divide and collapse. Satan is the head over dividing and conquering.)
    6. Deceit. (Things won't line up constantly. Keep in mind that I say constantly.)
    7. Disconnecting grace and the law of righteousness. (I heard many times, "God's grace is sufficient"  being abused and used as a means to manipulate and keep me stuck in the sin I was partaking in. I was called religious for wanting to live righteous. Do not let anybody tell you that...ever. Walking with Jesus is walking in righteousness.)
Above all be on watch. STAY PRAYED UP. Demons are REAL. Ask God for discernment. Hide your heart in His Word so that you may be able to do so. TEST THE SPIRITS. Always, always take God's Word over man's. Please. This is so very, very important and vital to the body of Christ. If you need any clarification or you have any questions or comments please leave them below or e-mail me at: confessionsofachurchkid@gmail.com
I would love to talk to you and pray for you.

God's True Grace

God's True Grace

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

God's grace is sufficient..
But there's a point
In which
God hands people over to their wickedness.

Allegedly they're handed over to their own frigidness
Because they decided..
To despise..
The warnings of the wise.

It's one thing to struggle..
And another thing to juggle
With sin..
And to twist grace to deceive many men.

It's one thing to fall..
And another thing to be immersed in it all
With no remorse
Or change of course.

Especially when grace is used as an excuse..
To misuse, accuse, and abuse..
And curse...
The innocent in an instant

As well as confuse infants
With fake brilliance.
Let's make it our mission..
To be in submission to Jesus Christ.
And recognize flaws and faults..
From the false.

The Warfare of Words

 The Warfare of Words

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

He sent down His Son.
Choose the blood.
Receive His love
And put down your selfish ambitions,
Ugly traditions.

And pick up your cross
So you can lead the lost
And not lead them astray
For your own display of blame.
Choose real change.
Repent from the lies that lead them to shame,
That cause them to lose everything.

And even if you succeed
When they fall to their knees
The trees will hold them up
Because it's in God that they trust,
Not lust.
Not money.
Not words that drip like honey

Which actually sting like a scorpion...
Factually, their words become like a ROAR of a lion.
Their prayers..are now burning with fire.
Their shields protect them from evil desires.
And as the end keeps drawing near
They fight with faith instead of fear.

A Life Of Love

A Life Of Love

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

Society sees surrender as shame,
So they live for themselves, they live for the fame.
"Satisfying self is the name of the game,"
They say.
Pray..
Me, myself, and I..
Lie..
If it benefits you.
Cry..
To falsify the proof.
Daunt and taunt and flaunt,
Belittle people to get what you want.
Freedom is doing what you want.

But true freedom is found in forgiveness,
In a love for the Father's business.
A business,
Love..
Like Christ
Requires sacrifice.
It was His righteous life,
The price,
For a sinful life..
 Like yours.
It was an unfair trade made that day.
It was the day..
 He came
To prepare a way.

The greatest way..
That love was shown.
Because a seed was sown
A seed had grown.
Touch one life..
And it might..
Touch several others.
Choose a life of love..
 That covers..
A multitude of sins because a life of love..
Always wins.

Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

If you be preachin'
And you be teachin'
And you ain't livin'
You best be leavin'
'Cause they don't need hypocrisy.
This is not a democracy
'Cause right and wrong are declared by the word of my God.

His discipline is more severe than the rod.
Yeah.
He knows your heart,
But continuing in your sin is gonna tear you apart.
Repent
And He'll give you a new start,
But if you keep on seducin'
You'll keep on producin'
Rotten fruit.
Shoot.
Send you further than Beirut.
Truth.
Turn from your trash.
'Cause the day you die your idols ain't gonna last.
Fact.

Your life is screamin' Gucci, Louis, Fendi, Prada..
Whateva.
But your mouth is singin' I got nada.
And then what your speakin' is the truth,
But your life ain't livin' proof.
You know Satan's plan is to deceive ya and lead ya to the gates of hell.
So watch out for these hypocrites for real..
'Cause there's no cutting deals
When it's all said and done.
And whatcha gonna say?
I was just livin' for fun.

God's Giving Grace

I actually wrote this poem towards the end of 2010. Grace is my middle name so I am often very enthralled with the heighth and depth of what grace truly is and how God is the only one who can have true grace in every situation. He's never bitter. He forgives and forgets and every day I am very thankful for His grace because I know that without it I wouldn't be here because I would have no hope to live on with how much I have failed.

God's Giving Grace

By: Elaina Grace Morgan

Grace is undeserved
It is so indescribable
We are immersed
Grace undeniable
How is this so?
Gods grace is sufficient
Only God knows
Mercy expedient
God enables
It is deserved
In which we are capable
God of grace
His riches at Christ’s expense
We don’t have to chase
God’s grace is so immense
Man of mercy
Seeking after God
With all we have
Taking away our façade
Following Him to the end
Giving thanks
For the heart he mends
